6 hours sleep, V8 and banana and NRG bar breakfast. Red Barn Coffee and doughnut on the way in. Heed in water bottles, 3 margarita blocks at 5, 3 black cherry blocks at 10. Felt very good at first, but exhaustion hit like a brick at 8 miles. Ran/walked the rest of the way, completely walking the last mile. Heed helped, but all heed (no straight water) hurt. Was actually thirsty. I actually remember that now from before. I'll just stick to Gatorade at water stops and blocks and plain water in the fuel belt from now on. Heed is good in combo with water and no blocks, but I won't be carrying a fuel belt on the marathon.
