Notes

This ride was less of an adventure than Friday's ride. I didn't have as much time to do this ride, and I also wanted to start a little bit further down the Auburn trail, because it was kind of boring. This time I started out at Main Street in Fishers, at the Post office and Fire Department. There is a tiny parking lot there, much unlike many of the other street crossings of the Auburn Trail. This was good, because in trying to find a parking place, I drove right past Fishers Park, where the Black Diamond Du starts. More recon. Again at Dryer Road, I picked up the "Victor Hiking Trails" after the "rail trail" pretty much disappeared. It turned out to be just as much fun this time as it was last time. The part in the mowed field kind of sucks, especially on a bike with only a front suspension (and a 14 year old one at that). Then it got more interesting, when the trails changed from Victor Hiking Trails to Ganondagan Trails. The trails did not have so much of the "caution tape" up today. This made it a little harder to navigate, but still fun. I also found a shortcut that took a big part of the boring part of Ganondagan out. It ended up sending me down the hill before I got to the Row house. Much shorter this way. Then I ended up at the back side of Dryer Road Park single-track trails again. Actually where this "Eagle Trail" intersects Dryer Road trails is where "Chutes and Ladders" meets "Epping Forrest". I happen to like the Epping forrest trail, so I took it, knowing that it loops around. Pretty cool. Again this time the return trip was even better than the trip out because I was even more familiar with the trails. This was a good place to start and finish after all and I will probably come back to this point. The other thing that I will be doing is investigating some more of the Victor Hiking Trails and the Ganondagan Trails. I think there is more good stuff to be had there. Serious fun.

Sleep: (second of the day)

Mood: excited

Physical: legs were a little sore and tired; I also didn't stretch AT ALL, which is going to come back to haunt me

Clothes: Trek bike shorts, green RRS short-sleeve, helmet, gloves, black Oakley glasses (perfect, but I need new lenses for the glasses, because in the woods, the sun-glasses were too much)
