workout AVG HR 150
An easy long 'trail' run today. All I really wanted from this run was the usual Long/Slow/Easy miles. I had kind of a big week, with some pretty hard efforts thrown in there, so this was just adding to the miles for the week. The course I chose to run was pretty much the same as last week's long run, with a mile or so added on. I chose to go all the way to Highland Ave to start running on the trail instead of starting at Elmwood. This made it an even 10 miles. The course is in no way challenging, but the surface was much more irregular than roads and sidewalks, so it did end up being a bit more difficult than the usual road course I would normally have run. I pretty much had no issue the whole way with keeping my HR down. It was hovering in the 145-150 range for just about the whole run, with the exception of a couple of hills thrown in there. It felt good the whole way, and was fun!
Sleep: OK (bed at 11:00pm, awake at about 8:30am)
Mood: good
Physical: no complaints
Clothes: dark blue Nike shorts, black NB longsleeve shirt, red Fleet Feet hat (perfect at the start, then too warm)
