A quick pool session, because I won't be able to get any open-water swimming in this week. I am not too worried about my swimming after doing my first triathlon at "A Tri in the Buff" and being in the top 13% of the field. Today I did pretty well. I was mostly going for speed here because I think the one thing that I didn't do well in the first tri was I didn't give enough of a SPRINT effort. So today I was working on putting in some speed at a long distance (500yds) and also some 100's with very little rest. I have not been able to do 100's on 1:30 in YEARS, so this was both exciting because I haven't done it in such a long time, and also VERY TIRING. I would have been much happier had I been able to do more yardage today, but what I did was good. I was only able to make the last 25 or 30 minutes of the open swim.

Sleep: decent (bed at 12:00am, wake at 8:30)
