Long run today. After yesterday's 50 mile bike ride I was not sure what to expect or how to go about this run. All I knew is I needed the mileage and did not care about how fast it would be. Without the HR monitor I just tried to make it 'easy'. The first three or four miles weren't too bad, I was feeling the effects of riding 50 miles yesterday though. I just tried to plug along. My left shoe was bothering my foot again with the Yankz on the shoes. The bottom part of the laces was way too tight and it was pressing on the top of my foot near my big toe. Irritated me for at least the first three miles. I was feeling good right up to the hill just before the fifth mile and decided to push pretty hard up that hill. It usually wipes me out, but today I powered right over it. That hill usually ruins the run for me, but the temperature was cooler than usual and I was feeling better than usual, so the last three miles turned out really good. I turned up the pace in the last two miles. The very last mile especially. I wasn't sprinting by any means, but I was moving pretty good. The last mile was even under 8 minutes. AMAZING. It turned out to be a great run!

Sleep: good (bed at 12:30am, awake at about 8:30am)

Mood: good

Physical: legs were a little tired

Clothes: dark blue Nike shorts, yellow Livestrong shortsleeve shirt, red FleetFeet hat (good)
