Long run today, but also a hard run. Since Abby was in New Jersey at the bachelorette party starting Thursday, this week has been a little lighter than planned. So, I decided to make my long run a little shorter than planned, but do some Fartlek in it to make it a little bit tougher of a workout. I ran every other mile, starting with the first, really easy and slow (145/150bpm). The other miles were two minutes SPRINT and two minutes recovery. A true Fartlek would have been shorter sprints and much shorter recovery, but... It was a good run either way. It felt good to run fast, not so much at the end, but... The first couple of sprints were fun, but since it was so humid, I quickly got hot and my recovery got worse throughout the run. By the end I was just tired and couldn't run as fast. Good run!
Sleep: good (bed at 12:30am, awake at about 7:30am)
Mood: good
Physical: no complaints
Clothes: light blue Nike shorts, yellow firecracker shortsleeve shirt, red FleetFeet hat (WAY HOT and SWEATY)
