An easy run today. Little to no effort, concentrating on form and rhythm. From the start I was just going nice and easy. It seemed easy, and I was pleased with the pace and my HR the whole time. My HR was nice and low and it made me feel good about being ready for the 1/2-marathon this weekend. Because I was able to run an average of 8:35 per mile at a super easy pace, I think I should have no problem doing 8:00 for the entire 1/2-marathon. In 2007 when I did it the last time, I finished the second half of the run at that pace and my HR was in the 160's. I don't want to get too cocky here, but I should be better than that this time! A very good run.
Sleep: terrible (bed at 12:30am, awake at about 6:30am)
Mood: OK
Physical: no complaints
Clothes: light blue Nike shorts, green RRS short-sleeve shirt, red hat (perfect, even with the rain)
