Long run today. Longest run in a very long time. OK, time for statistics. I ran 5 miles for the first time this year on May 2nd. The last time I ran 5 miles was Aug 8, 2008. The last time before today that I have run more than 5 miles was OCTOBER 5, 2007. HOLY MOLY!! It wasn't the most fun I've had running ever, but it wasn't extremely painful either. I didn't try very hard to make much of this run. I figured that i might have some some luck controlling my HR today, so I just set out to do the L-S-D (Long, Slow, Distance) run for the week. It ended up being a little more difficult to control than I expected, but not terrible. It was probably mostly to do with the fact that I rode 30 miles yesterday, and this was the biggest run week in a couple years. If I can keep this up, it's all going to get easier (and hopefully faster). A great run!!

Sleep: good (bed at 12:30am, awake at about 9:30am)

Mood: good

Physical: legs were a little sore and tired

Clothes: dark blue Nike shorts, red RRS shortsleeve shirt, red hat (a bit hot on the second half)
