Was overly hot, but otherwise, this was a great run.

Hadn't run quickly in some time, so after warming up, decided I would push for the 1.1 mile down and back segment of the run. Started running and pushed until it felt comfortably hard, and stuck with it. This is the fastest I have run a mile in many years. I was shocked when I hit the end of the trail and saw my split for the first part of the run.

I walked around for a few minutes to recover/cool down a bit, as the humidity was still bad.

Second leg felt like I was going alot slower, but it ended up being less than 30 seconds different than the first time, which I consider a great success. I would not have been able to complete a third leg at that pace, however. Instead I ran my cool-down at an 8:00 pace, which was very comfortable.

In general, very pleased, despite getting outside of my normal training range. Was worth it to get some confidence back as to my ability to run quickly. Will see how I feel after the fact/recover from this run before determining if it was way too much or not.
