Running on a treadmill must have done something to my legs. That or they were just fresh. Especially with the first two miles, my legs felt light, like I wasn't even trying. The last two were harder, particularly the third, but still felt easier than I expected.
I am a little disappointed I let myself get well beyond my desired training pace. Was aiming for 7:10-7:30, and was way fast on the middle two miles (6:45-6:50ish pace). If I'm going to keep hitting my mileage every week, I want to keep my sped under control as well. Will work harder on this. I have a really hard time not going with it when I'm having an 'on' night, however.
Hopefully this workout indicates what I'll be able to do in the 4 mile race, as I would like to break 30 minutes, if possible.
As of last week, I moved into the stamina portion of my training plan, as opposed to the endurance portion, so more tempo runs and intervals are in my future.
