COMMENTS: 17:24.1 PR!!!...gave Somogyi ride to race (he didn't race)...got gross blood blister in driveway, padded foot w/ paper towels during race...7 min warmup...registered were Molik, Newton, Corey, and I...first mile 5:26 (downhill, so 5:35 effort), second 5:30 (flat terrain), and third in 5:54 (2 hills in the last half mile)...legs and lungs were fresh at the end, abs slowed me down--will resume core work...Corey won age group in 17:08, I was third in group and sixth overall (nice trophy)...saw Dave Andreychuck there, got autograph on race number
