What an awesome run I had this morning! I finally found the levee my uncle told me about after taking an early wrong turn and got heckled by some workers on the bridge. The levee was awesome, nicely packed gravel for the most part the only problem was that I run out of distance at the far end. I ran out on a road then explored some gravel roads as far as I could go past some corn fields then turned back around and came back. Had I stuck with the originally planned 6 mile recovery run I would not have run out of road but since I made this one into another 10 mile run, much slower than yesterday, I had to get creative and add an extra lap around the block at the end. As for effort, it was almost recovery level but my pace was stupid fast. This is probably thanks to the mid 60s temperature and the light rain that kept pouring through the entire run. It was a great run that I didn't want to end.
