Notes

I finished up my brick and made my way to track for some strides. 6 by 150m, per the usual routine. To my surprise and dismay, a bunch of middle-aged woman were running around our track at 12 min mile pace doing some workout for Run GR. They were honestly at least six or seven wide around every turn. It made me roll my eyes because it meant I had to do my strides in lane 8. To avoid seeming like to much of a prick I ran the opposite way, so I wasn't just blowing past them. Some lady told me "good job, and stay tough through your workout". I was kinda surprised so I just looked at her confused. I apologized to her later and explained that I was just doing strides. She was just trying to be nice. My strides felt good. I could feel that I had some decent pop and good knee drive. I've always had decent form and sprint mechanics even if I've lacked the fast-twitch muscles. I visualized the last 150m of Hillsdale's race. What kind of position was I going to make sure I was in? How would I be finishing. After I finished my strides I turned my visualization to GVSU this Saturday and thought about the 1500m I am going to be running. I am excited to give the event another rip after having a good race in it last week. Hopefully the conditions will be more suitable for PR chasing.
