For me Friday: Ran the gettysburg battlefield. Got up at o'dark 30 and drove down to get in a long run before my conference. Started at the college and ran up to the eternal flame, cut across the first day's battlefield, over to confederate avenue, ran to the Slyder farm, then up to the peach orchard and back. This was a hard humid run with tons of rolling hills that were threatening to swallow me up - big effort to get this in and felt spent after.
OK, geek out mode on: special run for me here. Never ran the whole confederate battle line - to imagine a human wall shoulder to shoulder spanning this run is amazing. The views were second to none and I'll never look at the peach orchard raise the same way again - that was a huge hill and cannot imagine how the confederate charged up to it in the face of cannon. Wow what a run!
