Ran the 5k at the Centre track meet. Hip was hurting on the warmup but I went ahead and ran anyway. Lost touch of the pack I needed to be in about 5 laps into the race. After that I pretty much ran by myself again. I wanted to go under 16:20 but all in all I am not upset with my race. One good thing is at least I am being consistent and I am running the best I have since I was in college. I need to be more aggressive the first mile and a half of the race. I get way to comfortable and lose track of where I am. I just need to learn how to run the 5k. This is a pretty big jump for me and I have never really been great at longer distances, I really think if I can stay healthy and keep my training up I can run under 16:00 soon. I do need to do more speed work cause I never really felt dead I just couldnt go any faster. I think I need a down week this next week and try to get this hip taken care of before it turns into something bad.
