Really, really windy long run! We did a 3 mile loop w/ Adria, then Sabine hopped on her bike & kept me company for the rest of my run. The temperature dropped, the wind picked up & it was generally shitty. Actually, my legs felt pretty good for the first 9 miles or so, but they went to shit after that. I was tired, my legs felt heavy, my neck & shoulders got really sore from hunching over into the wind. But I survived it & even had a kick for the last hill & the home stretch. Sabine was great! She kept me focused & was positive & encouraging...and even a drill sergeant when needed. Running into the wind really made it a difficult run. I'm hoping it was just the wind, because I remember a time when 12 miles wasn't very hard. And I don't have much more time before Riverbank. And I'm a little worried about that additional 3.5 miles if it wasn't just the wind. Generally a crappy run. Did I mention the wind??
