WOW! Great weather, even better competition! 15 second PR and broke my own school record. This race could not have gone any better if you ask me.... well maybe besides closing speed in the last lap. There were a few guys that were shooting for the sub 14 range, only one of them hit it at a 13:56. So sadly I wasn't able to see it happen live I was a little preoccupied with my own race. First 3 Ks were pretty even splits 2:54; 2:54; 2:54-55? Dropped the last couple of Ks and hit a 2:52-53 on the 4th K and then a 2:46 in the 5th. I think that it could have been even a 2:43 if the closing speed had been there, which would have put me at a 14:20.... But it is what it is at this point. Really happy about it, lots of standards were hit this weekend by the whole team thanks to finally having good weather.
