Plan: 2 miles warm-up, 8 miles with the first 6 miles sub 8:45 pace, last two miles sub 8:30.
Didn't get to run until 6:30 PM, so took the treadmill option.
After the 2 mile warmup, 6 at 6.9 mph (8:41) and the last 2 at 7.1 mph (8:27).
Normally I've been using the New Balance M990's on the treadmill, but went with my Hurricane's that are pretty new. I could tell it made quite a difference compared to the older shoes. Retiring the New Balances to walking shoes only.
It felt pretty smooth at both the 6.9 mph (8:41) and 7.1 mph (8:27) paces. Legs maybe felt a little tired on the last mile. Wanted to keep it close to the targeted pace so I won't over do it for Saturday's race.
