Fast Finish Long Run. First long run with no cold symptoms since January 31!
Easy/moderate the first 10 miles, then miles 11-17 sub 8:00, cool down on the last mile.
This was my 21st training run of 18 miles or longer and the 4th fastest pace of those 21 long runs. So I feel pretty good about this run. Temps were probably low 60's by the time I started the 7 miles sub 8:00.
Drank a 20 oz. Gatorade before I went to bed last night and then had 2 Clif bars and another Gatorate 2 hours before the long run and then fueled with 3 Powergels.
Miles 1-10: 8:58
Miles 11-17: 7:56
Heart rate monitor was acting up some showing higher max HR on the first 5 miles than I actually had.
