Plan: 2x200m fast pick-ups on the track with 200m jog. 4x1 mile with 90s rest. 7:35, 7:30, 7:25, 7:20

At the beginning I could feel the hip flexors being a bit sore, but not after the first mile.

I had the lap pace pretty close to being on target for all of the miles, but because the GPS comes up short on the track mileage when going at a fast pace, I end up hitting the miles under the lap pace time. That's just the opposite from the Purity 10K where I miss it by 4 seconds because the mile ran long. Will need to account for this next time.

I do have to say the miles felt pretty easy to do when you get a full 90 seconds of rest. That seems to make a big difference compared to jogging a quarter mile between intervals. Although 3 months ago, a sub 7:30 mile would not have been easy to do.

With a couple easy days coming up, I should be ready for the Derby half marathon.
