Plan: 2 miles warm-up, 10x1:00 fast, 90s rest, 1 mile cooldown. Start the fast portion around 7:00 pace and work down from there. make the last 2-3 hurt!
I was wondering when I would fit this workout in since I had a car service appointment in Nashville at 4 PM. So I decided to bring my running clothes with and ran in the Metro Center area while the car was at Lexus.
Found a nice quiet flat stretch to do the one minute intervals.
For some reason, my legs just felt fast today. Most of them felt pretty smooth and I pushed the last couple that reached 5:34 pace. They 10 fast intervals averaged 6:04. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to run them this fast but I still think there was some room to push a bit harder.
Connect Garmin shows: 6:54, 6:34, 6:20, 6:19, 5:55, 5:53, 5:59, 5:45, 5:28, 5:26 for the intervals. Maybe it has the mileage more accurate.
