Notes
When they announced that the temp was 68, I decided I needed to slow the pace from the start. A BQ wasn't realistic and I didn't want one of those finishes where I am dying, taking walk breaks and running 10-11 minute miles.
Looking back I picked a pretty good pace where I could finish without dropping the pace too much and passing many runners, especially the last 6.2.
First appearance in the singlet this year was rewarded with a sunburn. Sun was never behind a cloud the entire day!
Second half was faster than the second half of my last 3 marathons (Berlin, Disney, Paris) but in much tougher conditions.
40 second bathroom break at around mile 13 when I ran into the porta potties for the half marathon start. Although the next mile was 20+ seconds faster due to the 40 second break, I only lost about 15-20 seconds.
