My first every track work out.
Knee back to 100% and legs felt pretty good. Quad soreness is gone.
2 miles warmup. 2x1/2 lap on the track at a steady effort with a half lap jog recovery. Wait around for a couple minutes and then start the workout. Run 6x800m at 3:30 (1:45 per lap) with one lap SLOW jog for the recovery.
I was worried about being able to keep a 7:00 pace for 1/2 mile on all 6 of the fast intervals and was pleased they were all from 3:23 to 3:27.
On the 4th fast 800m, I could start to feel that sickness feeling I get. So on the 5th and 6th ones I really concentrated on relaxing, almost closing my eyes at times, and that seemed to keep me from getting that sick feeling.
Tough work out, but I think I'm craving more track work.
