15 x 2:00 @ 5K effort, 2:00 jog
Initial plan was to do this on the Boomer Route, but with my right knee feeling sore this morning I didn't want to aggravate it any more on the hills.
So I did this at Station Camp, looping around, hitting Bison Way and looping the school once. I did get some hills to go up and this was definitely a tough work out. I was ready to pack it in after about 5 of them, but you just have to push through, 2 minutes at a time.
Didn't get to my PR 5K pace, but it still felt like a pretty hard effort considering it was 84 degrees. My right leg and knee held up well and probably felt better afterwards. The 15 fast 2:00 intervals averaged 7:17 pace.
The one good thing about this week is that my leg doesn't get more sore during the run like it would last week. So hopefully that is a good sign.
