I did this in the heat of the day - 88 to 90 degrees.
This was a good confidence builder for the Chicago half marathon. A year ago, this is the type of workout that I would have looked for an excuse to finish the last half at home on the treadmill. Now I am able to push through and hit the target pace in the heat of the day.
Just a slight soreness was still in the shins, but it is diminishing.
