I was trying to talk myself out of being able to do this workout since my fastest mile in 2016 was 7:23 and that was 7 weeks ago.

When I started out, I really didn't pay much attention to the watch. I went out at a pace that felt hard, but still controlled and kept that up for all of the miles. I could feel myself tiring a bit towards the last couple miles and they were slightly slower, but I even snuck the 3rd mile just under 7:00.

I felt I could have kept the 7:00-7:05 pace for an entire 5K as it was pretty controlled. It felt good on the track and the low 70 temperatures weren't too much trouble.

All 6 miles were my fastest 6 miles of the year.
