Tampa Races X Country Half at Alafia River State Park...official time of 2:19:10, pace of 10:37...garmin says I did 13.31 miles at an average pace of 10:29/mile, which isn't bad considering it was hot, humid, the hills were worse than expected, the last .4 was total sugar sand and I pretty much walked the last 5K...race director posted this "Thank each and every one of you for coming out to the race - it is appreciated. The near record heat was certainly not anything that was welcomed, but if it is any solace, you did run in the hottest X-Country yet." So maybe had it been at least a little better weather, I wouldn't have sucked so bad!
116th of 234 overall? (no listing of overall results for mixed sexes, 82 women + 128 men = 210 people, not 234, yet the placings go down to 234 on the results page...) 36th of 84 women, 11th of 14 in 35-39 age group (yikes, that's bad!)
