      Renee the dog

Can I rejoin this thread?  I dropped out because it outlined my frustration with my life being such a juggling act, and it was depressing me.  But I like you guys and I do a decent amount of cross-training, even more than in the past.

So, I'm thinking if I commit to my totals for the week, and then come back at the end and report how somehow it magically got done, I'll feel good about it, not all down in the dumps.

For this week, here's the goals:

        WHAT GOAL  Actual
        running 35 mi  36 mi
        swimming 2 hrs  2 hrs
        slideboarding 20 min  10 min
        yoga/stretch 30 min  30 min
core work 30 min  15 min

Not bad.  Slideboarding was irritating to me this week, which why I halved my time on it.  I think I need to polish up the board. (There's a thought!)

Core work didn't happen the second time becuase I was sore!  Still am! LOL

        GOALS 2012: UNDECIDED

After a peak of just over 66 miles last week, it's time for a step back. My lower back is acting up again, sending those twinges into my hip. Grrrr.

Monday: 20:50 elliptical (2.7 miles) and 15 minutes of weights/core; 2.2 mile walk with DH in the evening. Nice.  Smile

Wednesday: 20 minutes elliptical (2.6 miles) and 20 minutes weights, then a 10.5 mile tempo run after work and a half mile walk

Thursday: 23 minutes elliptical (3 miles) and 10 minutes of abs/core, 5 miles of hills after work and a half mile walk

Friday: 10.1 miles with some tempo miles in there, felt good! .4 mile walk c/d

Saturday: 5.1 more or less easy miles

Sunday: 15.1 miles, 8:07 average and last mile was 7:50... woohoo! Beautiful day for a run out there.

Um... I run a lot? Just a guess. Big grin

                        True.  Running every day is a lot of running.  I'll have to look into that.   . . . . . maybe . . . . . .

Oops, totally forgot to check in here. And that wasn't the only thing I forgot.

Anyways, 53.52K of running (33.26 miles), worked every UB  muscle group once, including abs and LB only once. Bike commute was 13K. Only did it once too, cause it totally killed my legs. I wasn't in a fit state for anything the day after.
