I finally got the site to update. It had her at 67.5 forever. This is just incredible. The lead guy is a 92.2 miles in 16:03. Ho-lee crap! That is an absolutely blistering pace.
Jim - Funny you should mention "Lonesome Dove" (which is one of my all-time favorite movies). It's on AMC right now. Sounds like you and Lynda had a great time at the race.
Woods - I LOVE corn on the cob. Absolutely love it. Corn on the cob, watermelon, and grapes - the reasons for summer.
Joe - I think, with the mileage you've put in so far and the heat, etc., today, that a bonk can be forgive. I was talking about you to my buddy, Karen today. Were your ears burning around, oh, 1:30 your time??
We did a very casual 10 trail miles this morning. Except for the fact that it was very humid and warm, it was a really pleasant run. We stopped toward the end so Charlie Dog could swim. We kept throwing the stick back in the water, and when he'd come out, we'd stand right next to him so he'd shake the water off him and all over us. Felt really good! Between that and the berry picking the last mile - well, let's say our average pace took a nose dive. Aaah, too bad.

Her pack of 5 just climbed Greeks Peak with less than a minute between 1 and 5.
LOTS of freaking climbing. Guess her being the only female now will definitely make her first in her AG.
She's been hanging tight in 8th place, but the others aren't far behind. This is turning into a good competition! And our gal is hangin' in there with the best of the guys!
