Weight! I'm Going The Wrong Way! (Read 392 times)

Jlynne

Aww geeze. Does anyone else think this weight thing is brutally cruel? Got on the scale this morning, up to 122. Not good, Uncle Louie. I might not be pregnant, but I'm carrying enough extra skin in that area that if I wasn't 58 years old, someone might ask if I was. Sad   Help me..........

      I'm right there with you.

Yesterday I made Char Sui Pork in the crockpot, since I only had an hour between my day job and the night shift at the tax job, and while I was rushing around making rice I made frequent visits into the crockpot with a fork.  Meaning I ate way more pork than I should have and had indigestion the rest of the night.

I'll wait until tomorrow to weigh.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

i was down a lb when i weighed in on monday at WW but yesterday went way over my points quota -- well dipped deeply into those extra points they give you for the week.   just had a bad food day -- oh well - today is another day!

As expected, my body caught on to the calorie cut and adjusted.  No more losing a pound every two days.  I am down 1 since last week to 217 which is what I want, but is still disappointing.  I have to keep the long term picture in mind.  1 pound a week will eventually add up to real weight loss.  (5 total since I started keeping a log, 6 for the year.)

..I Feel Your Pain jlynne//........I appear to be RETAINING BIRTHDAY CAKE//////

Slow is still progress Dave..Good for you man

A shocking 186. I really pigged out Wednesday and dreaded the scale today.

                180.  Down 2.  Yay me.

                Not at it at all.

Well, I'm now armed with proof that Calorie King is on a mission to kill me:

I'm down 4 lbs in a week to 135.2.  And, it's not a favorable horomonal time of the month to have that knd of loss...so I think it is real.   I guess 28 days of no alcohol is finally paying off!  Blush

Keep plugging away folks...I'll plateau shortly...my dd's birthday is coming up...

Another excellent week.  Once I hit 160, though, it always gets tougher to lose.

                      I am a big fat cow...again....

Up 2 lbs to my oh-my-gosh weight, 117.

Baking cookies last night (eating 5 of them plus cookie dough) didn't help....

Dinner out with DH at the Bonefish Grill tonight won't help either.

                      (sigh)

It could be worse, though.  My MIL had a terrible car accident several years ago and, due to the head injury, has completely lost her sense of taste.  That loss really robs a lot of joy from her life.  You don't realize how much you miss it until you don't have it.  Personally, I would rather have the battle with the food on a daily basis than lose my sense of taste.  I get so much (guilty) pleasure from eating.

I must have Missed this thread Friday.

I was down 1 pound this week so I am at 169.5. Down 6 pounds so about 14 pounds to go.

I am not losing as fast as I think I should be but at least I am still going in the right direction.

                        Good luck this week
