Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Just a dude.

Only notable thing in June is a hamstring injury that held me back a lot... Seems to be pretty much back to normal now...

Getting back in shape... Just need it to be a skinnier shape...

Thanks for getting this going, Nono. And thanks for the additional scenic photos, Mary and Stumpy.
87.1 disappointing miles for June. A bad back kept me off the roads for the first two weeks and killed my month. The one bright spot was a good 10K (with a medal!).

Without ice cream there would be darkness and chaos.
Thanks Nono! & thanks Mary & Kevin for the additional pictures... they're all beautiful. i'd been thinking about doing the same thing, but that's as far as I got.
hugs for all the injuries
Congratulations for all the efforts & the results!!
Nothing really notable for me except that running is coming back.... well, yes I know that that's notable but it's just what happens. Still not 'back', core work especially is still almost nothing. Realizing how much I need that as my running picks up a little. But almost nothing is better than completely nothing & progress is a very happy thing!
have to share what showed up on the training log.
June: 94.5M

It looks kind of like a reverse wave run, doesn't it? Winter started off with a hammie re-injury in Jan, & went on from there, that's all old news. I'm happy and grateful for the direction it's headed now.
Happy running everyody!

That is the Craig Motto, which I need this month.
Miles 64 (less than half of last month), due to a nasty cold for two weeks, a stomach ache the next week, a knee scraping fall the fourth week, and a sore lower back and sore shoulder muscles due to a rotator cuff tendon injury. I'm not complaining! I'm just falling apart rather quickly. Oh and my left knee hurts, don't know why.
"During a marathon, I run about two-thirds of the time. That's plenty." - Margaret Davis, 85 Ed Whitlock regarding his 2:54:48 marathon at age 73, "That was a good day. It was never a struggle."

Slowed the last few weeks due to a foot injury.

I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.
A little late but I think I am alright since the Boss of this Master Miles is just getting home.
