I finally did a little bit of actual barefooting at the end of a recovery run today. I've been running in water socks/aqua shoes for some of my little bit of running last year and almost all of my miles this year. Most of my running is on gravel trails but I did the barefoot stuff today on pavement. No issues at all and I know my feet/calves are strong enough so it's just a matter of toughening up my soles. I may just try a 30 minute jog on the gravel trail tomorrow...

2.74 miles barefoot on pavement this morning. Not too bad. I've got a blister behind my right pinkie toe and a little skin missing from the left pinkie toe but otherwise not bad at all. We'll see when my feet tell me I can do this again (monday? tuesday?).

Thats awesome. You got the hard part out of the way.
It wont take long at all before your soles become super strong!
