fnky:  No doubt video race reports are beneficial...that's exactly what I was looking for.  And I could definitely see the benefit of documenting one's experience for private use.

drock:  That is quite the Sunday run!  Thanks, yes, recovery is going well, but after 5 months off, I feel as though I am starting over.  My old man hips/core has to get used to this again!

i do all my running alone.  I think I would end up competing and comparing myself more in a group which never helps.

      Drock.  That’s quite a run.

Paul- congrats on WS100 I was tracking you. It was a scorcher. I ran from Foresthill to Rucky Chuchy. About 16 miles. Even when the sun went down it didn't cool down. I was sweeting at 2 am.

Ran 51 miles for the week. I'm ready for more this week.

It's what Jim Walmsley and friends have nicknamed themselves (they live/train in Coconino County).

I always think all these people taking pictures and carrying  selfie sticks are missing out on the moment but I think their idea of “the moment” is just way different then mine.

Ugh, I'm bored and have no interesting races coming up. I wish I'd signed up for Afton, but it's full.

at Chuckanut i passed a goat on the trail and a racer who apparently had never seen a goatt going the wrong way chasing the goat with her phone out yelling "i want a picture with the goay!"

                      Holy cow that's funny.

Sat at the race I saw what I thought was a large dog approaching (can't wear my glasses when I'm running) I said Hi doggie when it was maybe 30 feet from me and it startled, turned and ran off the trail...it was a deer.  I'm not sure who was the more surprised.
