First leg of the relay (for me). TommyToyota leg (rated "10/10" difficulty - running this one got me an 'I survived ... " Tshirt). Got to run with and get passed by some fast guys this early in the race. Some pretty nasty, rocky, sandy, steep uphills and downhills, though nothing sustained. Got passed around mile 7 by an older guy going at a pretty good pace but at mile 8 we got to some flat dirt roads and I kicked it up a good bit and caught and passed him and a bunch of other people towards the end of the leg. All that mileage must be paying off because that old guy didn't slow down a bit.
