Comments, eh?
Finished 2nd, to Brian Davis who ran 1:01:05 or something like that. He and Tom OConnor showed up looking to get the #1 and #2 spots in the Holy City 60+ AG. Brian got the #1 spot (the old #1 was a 1:05:24 by Dick Chimenti). Tom got #2 with a 1:04:low. Brian is just unbelievable how he keeps hanging in there!
Tom and I battled the for the first 5 miles. Probably exchanged places 3 or 4 times with him passing me on the downhills and me passing him back on the uphills. I passed him for the last time at the turn from Morrill back onto Summit road. Beat him by more than 30 seconds when he beat me at Marin 10K and at the Portola 5K. I think I ran pretty good today even though this was my slowest Holy City. It was a good one!
I think that Big Sur trail run and then the fremont older trail run the last two weeks had me raring to go on the hills.
