Notes
Pretty decent run this morning. Good weather but it was already kinda warmish and the sun was pretty much always on you. I tried to run like I did at Norcal 10 (run the first 5+ miles comfortably hard and then see what happens on loop two. I did pass several people on the second loop. They had a 5.0 mile timing mat, splits were:
5 - 159/764 (overall); 6/34 (division); 106/348 (gender); 34:38 (6:56)
10 - 144/760(overall); 5/35(division); 100/346 (gender); 34:11 (6:53)
Nice that I was able to negative split the course, which was my aim. Several people were saying it was slightly long and I believe that might be the case since my watch registered 10.18 miles which seems a little on the 'long' side.
Mile splits per watch below. A good sign is every mile I ran the second loop faster than the first loop:
1 - 6:49; 6 - 6:31
2 - 7:00; 7 - 6:56
3 - 6:47; 8 - 6:46
4 - 6:49; 9 - 6:47
5 - 6:49; 10 - 6:35
0.18 - 1:03 (5:56)
