fartlek started with a 45 sec blowout after the zigzag turn on the bike path. instead of a few minutes before starting the ons we decided to start as soon as we hit the wooded area. we did 4x2min on w/ decreasing rest (90, 75, 60 seconds). turned around underneath the bridge on the way to mcdowell and ended up finishing the last one after the sharp turns on the riverwalk after crossing jefferson. first one i stayed back and felt it out. second one i moved to the front and pushed a bit on the slight incline. 3rd one i pushed the incline at the start and then tried to find a good rhythm, and the last one i pushed with steve until the end. overall, not the highest quality fartlek but given that all of our legs are pretty tired, it was still good. solid 3-part workout overall for me so im happy with what i got this week with the race in a couple of days
