Gregory Final Qualifier pacing duties
despite the hammy not feeling good to go, i lubed it up with sombra and ibuprofen and went at it. got out well the first lap. 59-60 through 400 and then 2:02 through 800. it was fairly windy and hotter than last week and i was focusing so hard on not slowing down and kept pushing. clearly my form sucked ass because of the hammy because i didnt feel like i was slowing but i did a little. i paced through 1100 and stepped off after taking them through in 3:50high-351low. fast enough for them to be able to close in 60 and make it. felt bad i slowed a bit from 700-1100 but i was trying and they totally couldve gone around me. i was literally surging into the wind..thats what it felt like at least. thankfully, andy closed well enough to qualify so it wasnt all for naught. 3 other guys qualfiied as well (2 washu and 1 u of chicago)
