7 miles easy+10x2’ on-6’ off+ cool down. This week’s workload caught up to me a little today. Luckily had kaylin biking with me to help with fluid practice, and her support helped me. The first couple miles I was feeling flat and a tad worried I wouldn’t get down to my normal long run pace before the pick ups started. I was more aggressive on the down hills and that seemed to pop my stride open and by 4 I was in a good rhythm. The pick ups them selves were more to help break up the mileage but I was disappointed they weren’t faster, though I got wrecked on more than half of them being uphill. #4 in particular was just straight up this beast of a climb. My legs were starting to get heavy I had to dig out the last couple surges once I was through north liberty. Got through it, may not have been a sexy fast run but if I can keep the ball rolling with solid showings it’ll pay huge dividends!
