Notes
Hell of a time last night with some insane movement on the boys' side of state qualifications, which generally hurt us as a team but ended on a bittersweet high note as Vincent set the school record in the 3200m out at the Windjammer Classic. I got home around 11 pm and woke up at 2:30 am to catch a flight out to LA to watch Ben and Melissa (along with a handful of other Roots) race at the Sound Running meet tonight. I got a few hours of sleep on the plane which was rare but still felt ragged as I sat at a Starbucks trying to get my life together. The caffeine and calories definitely helped bring me back to life, and with a few hours to kill I went out to Griffith Park. I stuck to the horse trail this time until I found signs leading to the observatory. Spent almost 3 miles climbing to get there but had a good time as I rode a runner's high. It lined up well to stretch this out to a medium long effort. When I got back I learned that the boys had executed a well run 4x800 at the Windjammer and got themselves into the State meet next weekend!
