Notes
Tough run very early today. Joined the NCC guys at 6 to head out to Herrick. They got moving quicker than I'm used to the first few miles and then settled in. Nice and warm and humid this morning but a fun day to run. Pace stayed honest most of the run and then I surged to take a bathroom break. Made a quick pit-stop then picked up the guys as they were looping around the lake. Latched on the back of the group again and slowly worked up until we left the park. Then after we crossed Diehl, Plank and Ethan were taking off. I let them go for a minute or so and then realized this would be my chance to do fartlek. Ended up with a few surges with very little rest, mostly slightly slower tempo pace but was glad I did. Ended up running 20 minutes shorter than envisioned but had quicker tempo at the end than I thought. Hard to keep up but legs felt pretty good. Solid 2 days in a row.
