Long run in Des Moines w/ the NCC guys. Perfect out- 58, sunny, and minor wind. Took the path near the hotel out 5 miles with them, then back solo. Did 3x15 sec burst at 5/12/18 min on the way out and generally pace was quicker than felt comfortable. Chilled a little bit more on the way back but deff felt like a struggle/HR climbed. Didn't realize that the last few miles of the way out had a gradual decline so dealt w/ the gradual incline on the way back. Still, 10+ miles around 6:50 pace is pretty solid so happy with knocking that out this morning before a long day at Drake/driving back, especially since I only got 6 hours of sleep with the tornado storms the previous night.
