Slept in my own bed for the 1st time in 10 days and it was nice to hit the relatively flat streets of Sanford. The goal was 10 miles with some work sprinkled in over the last 5. High St loop to Back Street Grille, up 109, around the Hardware Store, thru the trail to the Y at podcast pace (Why do I now hate Doc Rivers?). Water stop then back. 6th mile felt easy at around an 8mm and then the pace picked up naturally. This all felt good until the start of mile 9 and the last mile really sucked. I’ve decided to forgo the Betty Ford clinic and try to dry out on my own this week.
