Notes
The Brooks Levitate 2s finally came in and they are delightful. Super comfortable, and they have a very solid feel from a platform perspective like you are on sure footing (irony not intended). They are a little heavy but really love them. Decided to forgo the Steve Allaire Belmont Sanders 7 miler and head for the newer trail to the HS. I've never been on it and it seemed like a good choice to get off the roads. Also love this trail. Very flat, wooded, quiet, and generally delightful in every way. By the time I get to the HS I am about 3.25 in and will be turning around at 3.5. When I get to the white loose rock as you leave the HS I turn my ankle really bad. Like initially feels broken bad. Uh oh. Tried to walk it off but no dice. Turn around and start to walk back. Not good. Text Kathy. "When do you get out of work?"..."why"...not until later...Fuck. No choice now but to suck it up. Start to walk on the trail back but does not feel great. I need to run or else I miss my 1pm meeting. Start up. Feels ok but not great. Get to school street and the road feels better on the ankle. Mostly run back. I'll see if I can dull the pain this weekend with beer. It seems like the most prudent thing to do.
