Got to Cali last night and have meetings that begin this afternoon until Friday so I had some time this morning to run. This is the most memorable run in the last 6 months because of the weather, how I felt, and the millions of people on the bike path at the beach. Bumped in to several people at the hotel who had run the LA Marathon yesterday and they said how brutally hot it was. After a 1 mile warm up I wanted to see if I could keep it under 9 for as long as possible. .5 from the hotel to the beach and then headed north until the path ended at the 4.5 Mile mark. Felt amazingly fresh and pulled back several times after feeling frisky. This was a reoccurring theme throughout the run. The 9th mile I stayed consistent and then I dialed it back and just slogged back to the hotel where I took a wrong turn. Amazing to run in 70 degree weather after being surrounded by snow for so long.
