4 days in row. How did running get so hard? The Hansons Ridge route I did today is always good to do when I’m trying to get back in shape so that I can look back in a month and think about how much progress I’ve made (not to mention it was 70+ and humid at 8:15 which added a degree of difficulty). The hammies and hip are much better because of the stretching/exercises I’ve been doing. I’ve also been rolling the hamstrings while sitting with a baseball and doing leg extensions which seems to really help (but hurts like hell). Just opening up the hips is making a huge difference. I’m trying to make so significant changes to my diet by cutting as much bread, sugar, and processed food as possible and going with a more protein, veggie, fruit diet. Just giving up a granola bar in the morning has been tough but in 3 days I can see the weight coming off and feeling better. Hopefully, I can maintain the discipline with my eating although I do intend on going off the rails once in a while.
