Jug Bay 10K...annual race with Ben and Liam who run the 5K...haven't run the 10K in many years but it enjoy it more than the speed burner that is the 5K...
brilliant fall morning...bright sun blue sky and fall colors on trees...
10K route takes the scenic road over the Merkle bridge and up a little less than a mile on the farm road to a turnaround for the return trip...
started cautious thinking my goal would be a slow one hour finish...but found a groove after a 9min first mile...passed many others and ran strong to finish in 53 minutes and change...
loved the brown t-shirt this year...burned 1001c...felt good...
