Ok, now let's stick with mornings. GCT balance 50.4%L/49.6%R today. That's right: not only almost even, but slightly favoring my LEFT side. I wasn't able to do that before if I concentrated on it, but today I didn't even look at the data until post-run. What changed? Last night I did lots of right TFL massage with the foam roller and massage gun. A tight TFL is the underlying problem! With tightness comes weakness, so I'll need to do some light strength training (which I did not, on reflection, begin last night because of yesterday's tempo run). But my priority needs to be keeping it loose. Stretching and massage I can do every day - multiple times per day, including immediately after running.
