Same as last week: 2.25 easy; 4x1200 (800); .75 easy. Aimed to run the 1200's at 4:29 (VDOT 53), which is 5:59/mile pace, with equal or slightly less time for recoveries. All the 1200's were right on or slightly faster. 1st 4:26 (4:18), 2nd 4:29 (4:08+about 15 sec.), 3rd 4:27 (4:19), 4th 4:25. Stopped my watch only for about 15 seconds after the second interval to get a drink. Felt strong, then tired, then strong again. By the third one I was sure I could hold the pace. Although the last lap of the last interval wasn't easy, I was never running all out. Weather: very light rain, but mostly it was just humid and a little windy.
