Started like a house on fire, we got new uniforms, had a full team, including dave richardson and glen back, and later guys said I had a great first quarter, beating guys, running the ball etc.. And I scored a short corner, ball went to glen who offloaded to me on the right, I dragges left past the runner, and side sticked into the net, nice and hard off the outside of the goalies outstretched foot, couldnt call it a tomahawk but nice. Few minutes later had another one, hit hard into the right post, bounced across and hit the other post and out !! unbeleivable. Then later Glen scored from pouncing in the circle with rossco, and the ball came loose from the keeper and glen whacked it in. We had other chances too, rod, dave r, self, keith, glen, ross johnson all did good in attack, and mark bayley and dave lucas in goals also went off. the other guys northern districts i think had a lot more ball in the second half, but we still gave them trouble, i think they had four subs to our two, and ended 2 nil..great to have a win...Think thats four vets goals for me this year.
